Access: Webdatabases


A whole new functionality added to the Access 2010 version “Webdatabases”. Wow that had me fooled for a minute. Thinking I could actually publish a database to the web which you can’t. Well you can but you need SharePoint 2010 to publish it to. Ahhh I get it. So no “public” option but a private piece of cloud!

Well let us try one out for starters

Whoo not to fast there. First read something about specs before you dive into this functionality. What can and can’t be done is the first thing you should know about. Actually you have to rethink your database strategies before you do have a fully functioning db online. I will make this a series and write about my findings here.
